The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency has nabbed a son of an incumbent mayor from Cagayan de Oro City in a buy-bust operation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Director General Aaron Aquino identified the suspect as Sean Moreno, 42, of 1023 Domingo Poblete St., Executive Village, BF Homes, Las Piñas City.
Moreno is the son of incumbent Mayor Oscar Moreno, PDEA said.
Also nabbed were Bernice Fabiosa, 31, of Cainta, Rizal; Gregorio Imperial, 36, of Ayala Southville Village, Las Piñas City; Bernadette Saavedra, 19, also of BF Homes, Las Piñas City; Jamie Abaygar, 20, of Escopa III, Project 4, Quezon City; Jessa Scott, 19 of San Pablo, Angeles City; Maria Isabel Lawas, 19, of Paco, Manila, and Aileen Jane Baldon, 23, also of Escopa III, Quezon City.
According to Aquino, on June 29, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office III and Angeles City Police Office conducted a buy-bust operation in front of Lewis Grand Hotel, Malabanias Road, Angeles City that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
The suspects yielded more or less 340 pieces of suspected ecstacy, nine pieces of suspected Dimethyltryptamine, 86 pieces of suspected Valium/Diazepam, more or less one gram of suspected Kush, more or less one gram of shabu, more or less one gram, suspected Psilocybin mushroom weighing more or less one ounce with an estimated value of P800,000, a digital weighing scale, one Mitsubishi Lancer and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were charged with violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Section 26 in relation to Section 5 (Attempt/Conspiracy), Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
