Prophetic Pastor Ruth Hillary, a volunteer for the cause of abortion, says that God gave her a direct mandate from heaven to bring the movie to the Philippines. She prays that the Filipinos are ready to accept this kind of movie.

“Pastor Ruth has been gracious enough to help us spread the word about Unplanned wherever she goes. She has felt commissioned by God to do so due to the importance of the message of this film,” says movie writers, directors, and executive producers Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon in a statement.

As an ambassador of the movie, Hillary was given authority to gather the leaders and influencers of the Philippines to lay the groundwork and prepare the way for this movie to enter Philippine theaters.

“We are doing the preliminary groundwork as much as God has allowed us to do while we are here in the Philippines. We are talking with people who can help us,” says Hillary.

The $6-million controversial movie has already earned more than $18 million since its release at the end of March. Unplanned was shown once in Edmonton then in Ottawa, then was totally banned in all of Canada and even some theaters in the United States.

The film is the true story of pro-life activist Abby Johnson. The former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas witnessed an ultrasound-guided abortion of a 13-week-old fetus, which completely changed her mind and heart. It shows vivid images of abortion, which made it controversial in Canada where abortion is legal throughout all stages of pregnancy.
