The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ordered all public telecommunication entities to deliver uninterrupted services during the upcoming national and local elections.
Uninterrupted telecommunications services would require telcos to deploy sufficient operations and maintenance personnel to ensure 99.99% network availability and reliability.
Likewise, all necessary adjustments and maintenance shall be undertaken to ensure that the networks are ready to accommodate the expected increase in traffic on May 13, 2019.
In its order, NTC emphasized that services rendered to the Commission on Election shall be given priority.
Similarly, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde assured the public during the recent launch of National Election Monitoring Action Center (NEMAC) that mobile signals at the police station areas are strong.
Albayalde mentioned that unlike in the past, police officers can now send videos and pictures of the situation in polling centers for better monitoring purposes.
