Former Social Security System president and chief executive Emmanuel Dooc was elected as an independent trustee of Insular Life.

Dooc is a distinguished veteran in the life insurance industry. He served as the Insurance commissioner from 2011 to 2016. He has had extensive experience in the insurance operations, compliance and governance.
Dooc serves as the head of SSS until March 2019. He is a master fellow and fellow of Life Office Management, an associate in Claims of International Claims Association and a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
He has professional certificates in Strategic Management Program from the College of Insurance in New York and 2015 Fall International Fellows Program organized by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and The Center for Insurance Policy and Research.
