Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio is a man on a mission.

Eustaquio’s redemption arc kicks off in Singapore

The former ONE Flyweight World Champion looks to start all over again after losing his World Title to rival Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes in a close decision at ONE: HERO’S ASCENT in Manila, 25 January.

Now, his road back to the throne will kick-off at the Singapore Indoor Stadium as he welcomes Kim Kyu Sung of South Korea in The Home Of Martial Arts  at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON on 17 May

“I can’t wait to bounce back and start over again, rest assured, you'll see the best version of me in Singapore,” Eustaquio said.

Though his previous loss was heartbreaking, Eustaquio believes that the combination of experience and reclaimed hunger will be the key factors in his comeback trail.

Knowing the importance of this match-up, “Gravity” knows that this is not a match that he can afford to lose.

“I wish to get back in the winning column and pave a new path to World Title contention,” said Eustaquio.

“I’m into a new era now which simply means it’s all or nothing.”

However, Eustaquio refuses to look past his next opponent who is looking to impress the mixed martial arts world in his ONE Championship debut.

Sung is one of South Korea’s up-and-coming talents, and he holds an impressive record of nine wins and only two losses with seven stoppages in his disposal.

In his last match, the 26-year-old native of Jeonju, South Korea knocked out Masayuki “Nave” Watanabe of Japan in the second round of their scheduled three-round flyweight match.

Though the 31-year-old doesn't have that much intel from his Korean counterpart yet, he said that he has learned his lessons in the past and he and guarantees that he won’t leave his fate to the judges’ hands this time.

"We don’t know much about our upcoming opponent as he'll be making his debut but we know that he's tall and lanky. So we'll have to prepare for that,” said Eustaquio

“The most important thing is to not leave it to the judges’ hands this time so expect me to go all out.”
