Electronics and appliances brand Toshiba embodies a Japanese craftsman’s approach to work and attention to detail in pursuit of perfection.
Dubbed the Takaumi spirit, it is developed through rigid path that requires devoted hours to reach the highest level of craftsmanship.
Toshiba boasts all its products bear the hallmark of a work ethic that guided Hisashige Tanaka when he founded the company in 1875.
Tanaka initially ventured into the business of manufacturing telegraph equipment and grew the company into the Japanese manufacturing giant Toshiba.
Through the fusion of craftsmanship, precision, and pursuit of perfection, the company developed heavy electrical machinery and appliances, producing many groundbreaking firsts in the process: Japan’s first electric fan in 1894, first electric washing machine in 1930, thermal cookers in 1955, microwave ovens in 1959, and air conditioners in 1961.
Today, Toshiba continues to produce state-of-the-art appliances, from top-of-the-line refrigerators and washing machines to innovative water dispensers, rice cookers, cordless vacuum cleaners, and even portable, countertop dishwashers.
Despite their futuristic designs, the company said its products are still manufactured and developed guided by the Takumi spirit.
Toshiba introduced recently in the Philippines its new lifestyle products, including the T-07 Washer and the flagship T-07 Washer/Dryer, the 3-system OriginFRESH Refrigerator, and the top load water dispenser.
