Rivera, Anton, Gallardo head Phoenix ‘18 slalom awardees

The 2018 RACE Motorsports Club Phoenix Pulse Technology National Slalom Series Championship held its Awards Night recently at the Kowloon Restaurant in West Avenue, with Milo Rivera of Tough Gear Racing emerging as its Slalom King for the fifth straight time.

Rivera was followed by runner-up Inigo Anton and second runner-up Richard Gallardo in the awards rites attended by the Marketing Group of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., headed by Teresito Rivas and Carl Diego, and the marketing group of PPC Asia, led by Marvi Antonino.

Rivera was also crowned Production Rear Wheel overall champions, with Joseph Ortega as his runner-up.

Also honored were Poweer Base, the Novice overall slalom champ, runner-up Vegil Calayo and second runner-up Ram Rafanan.

The Production Front Wheel title went to Anton, followed by second placer Gallardo and third-ranked Jevoy Moreno. 

The 2018 RACE Motorsports Club Phoenix Pulse Technology National Slalom Series with enhanced power and acceleration is also supported by major sponsors Federal Tyres and 3K Batteries, New KYB Special Shock Absorbers, Robinsons Malls, Starbright Body Kits, Auto Transporter, media partners Motoring Today, Stoplight TV, C! Magazine, Auto Car Magazine, Power Wheels Magazine and Medical Team Aeromed.

RACE  Motorsports Club also recognized the different teams who gave their commitment and dedication to the year-long series, such as Tough Gear Racing Team, PMMS Rennsports, RODLEA Racing Team,  JAF Racing Team, Pongga Racing Team, Mark Young Race Cars, STAGE 1 Racing Team, G Spot racing Team and Speedjav Racing Team.

The event also announced the schedule for the new season: March 3 at Robinsons Novaliches, April 7 at Clark Global City, April 28 at Robinsons Starmills, May 26 at Robinsons Sta. Rosa, June 9 at Robinsons Antipolo, July 21 at Robinsons Starmills, August 18 at Robinsons Antipolo, September 8 in Cabanatuan City, September 29 in La Union, October 20 at Robinsons Starmills, November 10 at Robinsons Antipolo and December 8 at Robinsons Starmills, with the Slalom Invitationals slated on March 24, August 11 and October 6, all at Robinsons Calasiao.
