The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines announced on Wednesday that it has completed the construction of special rooms designed to provide comfort to traveling military and police officers in various commercial airports in the country.

CAAP Media-Communications Office chief and spokesperson Eric Apolonio said the government has completed and opened Heroes’ Lounges in 24 CAAP-operated airports in the country to provide comfort to traveling cops and soldiers.

He added the project is also in line with the government’s program to uplift and honor the country’s uniformed personnel.

“The Heroes’ Lounge was installed to accommodate traveling uniformed personnel, including those who have retired, Medal of Valor awardees, and their immediate families traveling with them,” said Apolonio.

Apolonio said the lounge, furnished with comfortable seats and relaxing interiors, also offers free WiFi. He added the free use of the lounge by travelling uniformed personnel and their families is subject to existing rules and regulations.
