Megaworld sees P1.5 billion in sales from Maple Grove

Megaworld Corp., the biggest lessor of office spaces, expects to generate P1.5 billion from the sale of office spaces within its 140-hectare Maple Grove township in General Trias, Cavite.

Megaworld said in a disclosure to the stock exchange it would start selling office spaces in the 17-story One Corporate Place, which would offer 93 select office units with layout sizes ranging from 63 square meters to 281 square meters.

The office spaces are suitable for corporate offices and business process outsourcing companies, including small-to-medium enterprises.

“Maple Grove’s rising business district in this side of Cavite allows companies to thrive and grow their businesses in a green and sustainable community where everything is integrated and within reach. The entire development itself, as in any other townships that we’ve already built, will be walkable from one office tower to another, or to the mall, residential towers and parks that we will build around the community,” Megaworld vice president for sales and marketing Rachelle Peñaflorida said.

One Corporate Place is equipped with its own building management system and will feature a 24-hour security and fire command center, seismic detection and monitoring system, stand-by generators for 100-percent back-up power, fire security system, water reservoir with separate fire reserve water tanks, and a 24-hour CCTV monitoring system.

The entire building will be fiber optic-ready.

The office tower will also be highlighted with sustainability features that include a roof deck garden, use of energy-saving LED lights in common areas and dual-flush type water closets for common toilets, and its own material recovery facility that allows waste segregation and recycling.

“Owning an office space in Maple Grove would be a wise move especially that General Trias is now fast becoming a key growth area of Cavite. In five years, we expect rental prices to go up as more developments rise within the township,” Peñaflorida said.

Maple Grove is being developed into a mixed-use township development with residential, retail, office and institutional components.

The property developer in October launched the 10-story The Verdin at Maple Grove, its first residential condominium tower in the township.

It also announced started constriction of the Maple Grove Commercial District, a 35-hectare ‘Makati-inspired’ business district within the 140-hectare township.
