Wolbert has focused on payments throughout his career, including spending time in Visa’s headquarters in San Francisco as a part of the global strategy team, where he worked on projects across several geographies.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead our operations in the Philippines and Guam. I look forward to working closely with the regulators, clients and merchant partners to expand our digital payments footprint in the country. More importantly, we want to introduce the benefits of electronic payments to all Filipinos in the country, and make a positive difference to the community through the work that we are doing,” Wolbert said.

Stephen Karpin, Visa’s group country manager for regional Southeast Asia, said: “We are excited to promote Dan into this role as the country manager for the Philippines and Guam. Promoting talent from within our organization remains an important priority and I am confident Dan will do a great job leading our team and supporting our clients to grow the expansion of commerce across the Philippines and Guam.”
