QUEZON City Mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista recently spearheaded the relaunch of the “BizTech” business technology center in Cubao that would serve as the information center and clearing house for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs.

“This launching demonstrates the efficiency of private and public cooperation in sparking business growth and productivity,” Bautista said.

The center is in line with the city’s compliance with Republic Act 10644, or the Go Negosyo Act, signed by President Benigno Aquino III in 2014.

The center shall also assist small businesspersons and entrepreneurs in building linkages with the city government.

Even before the ratification of Go Negosyo Act, Quezon City already planned the establishment of Biztech.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Quezon City director Sarah Deloraya-Mateo said the center would greatly help in promoting business here.

Bautista said he envisions the construction of two more Biztechs in La Loma and Novaliches. “It is not enough that we have one like this in Cubao alone,” he said.
