PAL, CEB cancel flights for repairs

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) announced the cancellations of some of their flights in connection with the scheduled repair and rehabilitation of the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) runway from September 1 to 21.

In its advisory, PAL has “either cancelled or delayed several flights in view of the 5-hour daily runway closure within the said three-week period. All other flights outside this window period shall remain operational.”

Those cancelled by PAL from Sept. 1 to 21 include daily flights of PR-2682 and PR-2683 (Cebu-Busuanga-Cebu), flights PR-2295 and PR-2296 (Cebu-Cagayan de Oro-Cebu), and PR-1836 (Cebu-Manila), and from Aug. 31 to Sept. 20, the cancelled flight will be PR-28767 (Manila-Cebu). 

Those cancelled by CEB and its sister airline CebGo during that period include the daily flights of 5J-609 (Clark-Cebu), the three-times a week flights of DG-6462 and DG-6463 (Cebu-Bacolod-Cebu), the five-day flights of DG-6925 and DG-6926 (Cebu-Butuan-Cebu), the two-times a week flights, except on Sept. 9 and 16, 5J-205 and 5J-206 (Cebu-Cagayan de Oro-Cebu), Fridays flights of 5J-593 and 5J-594 (Cebu-Davao-Cebu), the Tuesday and Saturday flights of 5J-597 (Cebu-Davao).
