Jakarta— Behind the force that drives the Philippine campaign here in the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta are the men and women who make sure the needs of the Filipino athletes are well taken care of.

Led by Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez as Chef de Mission, the members of the Philippine secretariat practically eat, sleep, cry and celebrate with the Filipino athletes.

Consider them the unsung heroes, who take care of the athletes’ needs from transportation, food up to their participation.

The Philippine secretariat is a combined work force from the Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Sports Commission.
