A diaper brand and an e-commerce portal team up to produce the first-ever virtual baby marathon.
Dubbed #BabyMarathon, this event is part of the Pampers x Lazada Super Brand Day, happening on Aug. 29. Super Brand Day allows customers to discover the best of what the featured brand offers, which include exclusive vouchers, limited edition products at its best prices, and offline events.
The 42-minute #BabyMarathon video montage, which will be aired on Aug. 29, will feature hundreds of babies and toddlers in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore, all “running” in a relay race. In the final video, parents may even find their children racing alongside Seve, the son of Pampers Philippines brand ambassador Toni Gonzaga.
“The #BabyMarathon is part of our My Baby Can Do That Campaign, where we hope to show how babies can do nakaka-wow and amazing things when they have the freedom to move, especially in a less lawlaw (sagging) diaper,” said Pampers Philippines brand manager Akhil Meshram.
Babies aged 5 months and above are welcome to join. To participate in the virtual run, parents need to take a video of their baby walking, playing, or running in their Pampers diaper, and post it on social media using the hashtags #PampersxLazadaPH, #BabyMarathon, and #SuperBrandDay.
There will be five winners in the Philippines who will each get a six-month supply of Pampers diapers plus a grand winner who will receive P30,000 cash.
“This #BabyMarathon video collaboration excites us as this allows both brands and our customers to connect in the online and offline space. The campaign also strengthens Lazada’s continued commitment to be a one-stop shopping destination for all baby’s needs,” said Lazada Philippines chief executive officer Ray Alimurung.
