Residents of Muntinlupa can now enjoy the convenience of cashless transactions as the city government, in partnership with the Lingkod Muntinlupa Foundation and PayMaya recently launched the MCC Plus or the expanded Muntinlupa Care Card, the country’s most advanced citizen card ID program.

At the launch of the MCC card are (from left) PayMaya head of domestic services Lawrence Ferrer, Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, a beneficiary family, Lingkod Muntinlupa Foundation program director Grace Salvador, and PayMaya COO and managing director Paolo Azzola.

Student scholars, senior citizens, small businesses and other beneficiaries can now have access to the new MCC Plus card, which combines an ordinary ID with the technology of a prepaid card of PayMaya, the digital financial arm of PLDT and Smart’s Voyager Innovations.

Through the new card, Muntinlupa residents will be able to receive cash benefits and allowances from the city government and use their accounts to pay for goods and services in some 5,000 small businesses and beneficiaries of the city’s Joint Resources Financing Program zero interest loan.

Residents can also avail of free rides to e-jeepneys plying the city by tapping their MCC Plus cards onto the sensors inside the vehicles.

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the city takes pride in MCC Plus, the country’s most advanced LGU card that will bring more convenience to its constituents.

Cash credits can be added to their accounts through more than 20,000 Add Money touchpoints, including Smart Padala, SM Business Centers, Robinsons Business Centers, 7-Eleven, Touchpay, UnionBank ATMs, Shopwise, Wellcome, 2Go, ExpressPay, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, Smart Padala, Banco De Oro, UnionBank, RCBC Online Banking, and other InstaPay outlets.
