Mayor John Rey Tiangco signed the MoA with officers from the National Police Commission, Association of Barangay Captains–Navotas, and the Philippine National Police–Navotas.

The agreement bolsters coordination and cooperation among Navoteños, the local executives, and the integrated law enforcement and public safety agencies in the city.

It also creates an Integrated Area/Community Public Safety Plan and a Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan to promote security and protection, as well as enhance delivery and access to justice.

Tiangco expressed full support to the CSOP and vowed the city government will do its part to ensure the success of the program.

“Peace and order and public safety has always been one of our top priorities. Through this agreement, we hope to encourage community participation in safeguarding each Navoteño and upholding justice,” he said.

Navotas has a Text JRT program where constituents can reach the city government 24/7 and air their concerns, including those that involve drug-related crimes and other illegal activities.

As part of its anti-drug campaign, the city has Bidahan, a community-based treatment, and rehabilitation program led by the Navotas Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

Likewise, PNP-Navotas has Navotas NEST (Nurture and Educate Surrenderers Towards Transformation) and faith-based groups in the city have SIPAG and Salubong, which intend to give drug users a chance to change and become responsible and productive citizens.
