The Department of Tourism, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., Philippine Airlines, and New World Makati Hotel will present the Skal International Makati 37th Founding Anniversary and 28th Tourism Personality Awards at New World Makati Hotel on Aug. 30.
Named awardees are Andrea Domingo of Pagcor; Kingson Sian of Resorts World Manila, Akihiro Hosoya of all Nippon Airlines; Richard Masselin of Pan Pacific Manila, Houdou Nakamura of Nagasaki Prefecture.
Other recipients of the awards are Joanne Rae Ramirez of Philippine Star; Ana Lisa Burgos of ABS-CBN News; Eddie Monreal of Manila International Airport Authority, Deedee Ledonio of Coltrans Exhibit; Peter Tay of Boracay Adventure Travel and Tours; Lawrence Tan of Thousands Concepts; former Tourism Secretary Jose Aspiras; and Raoul Esperas of Naia Press Corps.
The SKAL Makati Tourism Personality Awards is an annual event honoring individuals whose achievements and contribution have created an impact on the tourism industry.
The awards are presented by SKAL Makati Chapter led by its officers: President Jaime Bautista, Vice President Farid Schoucair and chairman Robert Lim Joseph.
Skal International is a worldwide association of travel and tourism professionals promoting global tourism and friendship.
It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry.
First founded 1932 in Paris, France, Skal International today has over 15,000 members in 400 tourism clubs throughout 90 countries.
