Lufthansa Technik Philippines signed multiple maintenance contracts with several carriers on A380 aircraft.
Lufthansa Airlines, the largest German airline, tapped the services of LTP in an agreement formalized on June 24, 2018.
The contract covers heavy base maintenance checks of Airbus A380 aircraft.
The latest deal caps off a fruitful A380 program for the MRO (maintenance, completions, repair, and overhaul) provider, as it comes at the heels of other customers that contracted LTP for their base maintenance services as well, including Korean Air and Asiana Airlines.
LTP is slated to conduct the base maintenance checks for the Airbus A380 planes of the two carriers for the next several years.
All A380 contracts would generate over $200 million in export business to LTP and support more than 500 jobs within the company.
With plans to expand its operations and facility, LTP is seeking to boost its capabilities and aggressively capture future market opportunities.
