Twin quakes jolt parts of Luzon, Mindanao

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake rocked Nasugbu in Batangas and was felt at lower intensities in parts of Luzon and Metro Manila on Tuesday afternoon.

Another quake of magnitude 5.6 jolted Sarangani province and other cities in Mindanao, had a depth of 103 kilometers and was located 10 kilometers northeast of Malungon town. 

The quakes caused no damage.

The first quake, of tectonic origin, struck at 12:25 pm some 54 kilometers west of Nasugbu, Batangas and had a depth of 124 kilometers.

Intensity 4 quake was felt in Lubang and Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro.

The quake was felt at intensity 3 in Buco, Talisay, Tumaway, and Calatagan in Batangas, in Quezon City and Mandaluyong City, Clark in Pampanga, Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro, Looc and Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro, and Tanza and Maragondon in Cavite.

Intensity 2 quake was felt in Parañaque City, Manila and Plaridel and Malolos in Bulacan.
