Alex Lim, country manager of MoneyGram Philippines, said that one of the main reasons people go abroad is to give their families the financial support that they need.

“We [MoneyGram] realized that the main reason people travel abroad is to provide their loved ones with good education,” said Lim.

The winning OFWs received P30,000 in cash and an all-expense paid trip to Manila where they will spend three days and two nights with their loved ones at the Solaire Resort. In addition, 30 winners also won P5,000 in cash.

The awards were handed over to the families of winners during the ceremony attended by MoneyGram’s key regional leaders and brand ambassador Robin Padilla.
