THE Health department on Sunday reminded the public to make sure they are in good health while casting their votes in today’s barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections as the weather will again be  hot across the country.

“Before voting, be sure to eat and take your maintenance medicines,” the department said.

It also advised voters to wear comfortable clothes and to bring fans, umbrellas and drinking water when going to the polling precincts.

In its forecast released on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the temperatures across the country on Monday will range from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.

The Commission on Elections earlier coordinated with the Health departmentin setting up first-aid stations in the polling centers across the country.

The majority of the 177,575 polling precincts in the 36,781 voting centers or public school classrooms nationwide are only equipped with electric fans, while others have no proper ventilation.
