THE Philippine Residents XV will take on an undefeated Guam national team, which is returning from its successful campaign in the Asia Rugby Division III Championships.
Jake Letts, general manager of Philippine Rugby, welcomed the prospect of facing a great team at the Southern Plains field in Laguna.
Guam came from a string of recent successes after defeating Brunei, 66-12, last Tuesday.
They later took the Championship Trophy with their 52-12 triumph over China in the finals.
“Guam has had a great week, their Division 3 championship is very well deserved. With a stopover in the Philippines before their final trip home, they reached out to Philippine Rugby to see the possibility of putting together an international match for the development of both our teams,” said Letts.
