Fun mealtimes with little ones

It is said that the first 1,000 days of a child’s life is a critical window that sets the stage for their cognitive development and lifelong health.

Kids’ early feeding practices are vital in establishing optimum health to protect them later in life and build their prosperous futures. Introduction to flavor preferences can also impact the way they see and consume certain foods, especially vegetables. However, international studies reveal that most children do not meet the recommended vegetables consumption. But this can be easily amended with early feeding intervention strategies.

Cerelac, an established brand of baby food, introduces a new way of promoting good eating habits while giving proper nutrition to kids.

BABY’S BIG BOWL. A mother and her ‘bulilit’ mix their favorite Cerelac recipe using giant-sized ingredients at the Let’s Eat, Bulilit! event.

Through its “Let’s Eat, Bulilit!” campaign, mommies and daddies learn how to get the right nutrition at the right age for their children. Children start to develop a sense of curiosity as they grow, and this offers a perfect opportunity for parents to start introducing them to new flavors and different textures. A way to introduce healthy foods to children is to pair fruits and vegetables like broccoli, squash, sweet potato, and even chicken with an infant cereal like Cerelac.

Cerelac is a nutrient-dense food with no added preservatives. It has Protect Plus, a combination of BIFIDUS BL for a healthy digestive system and DHA which is an important building block for brain and eye development for children. In addition, it provides almost 1/3 of a child’s daily energy requirement and is also a rich source of B Vitamins, Vitamins C, A and D, Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Phosphorus, Protein, Iodine, and Folic Acid.

It can be served alone or mixed with sliced fruits and vegetables.

Aside from offering a nutritious bowl of food for young tots, the brand believes that mealtimes should be a fun and memorable experience shared between a parent and a child.

Parents and their little tykes learn about messy but healthy mealtimes.

On April 28, mommies and daddies along with their bulilits took part in Cerelac’s Let’s Eat, Bulilit! event by simply buying one 7g pack of Cerelac. Inside the venue, parents and their little tykes got to know more about the baby food brand’s nutritional benefits at the Bulilit Meal Maker, experienced mixing their favorite Cerelac recipe using giant-sized ingredients at the Cerelac Delight Bowls, and took Instagram-worthy shots of their children sitting on the themed dining areas at the Bulilit at the Big Table.

“Let’s Eat, Bulilit! is our way of helping parents foster stronger relationships with their little ones through messy but healthy mealtimes,” said Kirby Joseph Neri, consumer marketing manager lead for Cerelac.

“With this event, we hope to teach moms and dads more about children’s nutrition, complementary feeding, and more importantly, provide fun opportunities for bonding with their children.”
