MEMBERS of the Philippine Azkals national men’s football team are hoping for a better scheduling in their games in the 2018 season of the Philippine Football League.

Having a good schedule will help the Azkals get ready for what awaits them in the latter part of the year.

“The schedule hopefully, can be improved from what it was last year to help us in our performances,” said Azkals’ ace scorer Phil Younghusband, who noted that the schedule of matches were quite hectic last season.

Last March, the Azkals sealed their place as one of the 24 teams that will participate in the AFC Asian Cup at the United Arab Emirates in January, 2019. That was after the Azkals defeated Tajikistan at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, 2-1.

The team, which earned its highest ranking ever of 113th this April, is also waiting for the AFF Suzuki Cup draw today in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 draw on May 4.
