“In a media interview, the secretary said the group’s support was a welcome development, a strong foundation trusting in what Secretary Go could do once he is at the Senate,” it said.

Andanar said Go is an accepted candidate for sports and even “muscle cars” enthusiats.

He mentioned the people could rely on the so-called the “three-pointer ng bayan” of the government to fight crime, corruption and illegal drugs.

Supporters of Go earlier launched the “Ready, Set, Go!” campaign to convince Go to run.

Andanar said there will be more campaign programs to be organized by people loyal to Go and his friends to encourage Go to join the senatorial race in 2019.
