AFTER getting swapped, Terrence Romeo and Moala Tautuaa are grateful for their past and future in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Immediately after the blockbuster by GlobalPort and TNT KaTropa Tuesday afternoon, Romeo and Tautuaa thanked their former teams for the opportunity they had before preparing themselves to move forward.

In their Twitter accounts, both expressed their gratitude to their former teams and the excitement over their direction with their new teams ahead.

“First of all, I would like to thank God dahil binigyan niya ako ng magandang simula thru GlobalPort,” said the multiple-time scoring champion from Far Eastern University. “Boss Mikee (Romero), salamat po sa suporta simula nu’ng nag-simula ako. Maraming salamat, GlobalPort”

“Extremely grateful to have played for TNT,” said the top pick in the 2015 PBA Draft. “Learned a lot from the team and I just want to say thank you to everyone of my teammates and staff there.”

The Fil-Samoan then showed his excitement as he moves over to the Batang ier camp.

“I’m excited to keep the ball rolling at GlobalPort! Looking forward to this chapter in my life! Always got to give thanks to the Lord.”

Along with Romeo, big man Yousef Taha will also come over to TNT, while future first (2019) and second-round (2020) picks were also received by GlobalPort aside from Tautuaa.

All the players involved will suit up for their new teams starting April 22, the start of the Commissioner’s Cup.

Romeo, who had a shouting match with his GlobalPort coach Pido Jarencio in the team’s lone game in the quarterfinals last month, was reported to be unhappy with the Batang Pier as he allegedly sought for a trade before the season started.

“It’s sad to let go one of hottest players in the land, but we will not stand in the way of one’s desire and happiness. So with a heavy heart, we are trading our top star,” said GlobalPort Team manager Bonnie Tan.

“This is a win-win solution for us and the camp of Terrence. We have so much respect for the guy, but we, as a team, must also move on towards our main goal which is to get better and contend for our first-ever championship. Besides, Tautuaa could be the missing link to our championship aspiration,” added Tan.
