Beauty defined by stories

We are often told that beauty is something we create for ourselves. But it is our stories that motivate us to be beautiful.

Most of us tend to be too busy with a lot of duties and responsibilities that we often get caught unaware of how fast our body and appearance change. But as we all live a short life and only own our bodies once, shouldn’t we all make the most out it? As in realize its full and most beautiful potential.

“Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino’s journey of finding the best anti-aging formulation and technology has brought her to discovering Ultherapy.

Developed by German pharmaceutical company Merz, Ultherapy is the first and only FDA-cleared, non-surgical lifting procedure for brows, chin, neck, and décolletage.

According to Judith Albano-Cantada, marketing manager at Merz Philippines, “[Ultherapy] is a non-invasive treatment that lifts the skin using ultrasound technology to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, and it requires minimal to no downtime.”

“The natural-looking effects become increasingly visible after two to three months, and further improvements can appear up to six months later,” she added.

Joining Aquino in sharing #BeYoutiful stories of how the procedure changes lives are Ultherapy’s newest ambassadors Trisha Duncan, Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez, and Agoo Bengzon.

Duncan, a student and model, shared how she had lost her self-esteem after the medications for her chronic illness affected her appearance. “Ultherapy definitely helped me in gaining renewed confidence in myself,” she related.

Juggling her roles as a fashion designer, a wife, and a mother to three kids, Ocampo-Rodriguez puts a premium on simple beauty regimen. She shared, “I’m really quite low maintenance, and actually wasn’t planning to do any treatments until I turned 40.”

“But I quickly became interested once I learned that Ultherapy was a ‘lunchtime’ procedure that only has to be repeated every 18 to 24 months,” she enthused. “The benefits have been amazing and the feel, texture, and tightness of my skin have significantly improved.”

For beauty expert Bengzon, becoming the best version of herself is an ongoing process. The former beauty editor believes that preventive measures are important in maintaining physical appearance.

“When choosing treatments or procedures, I really try to factor in my particular concerns and invest in procedures that I know will help prevent future problems from taking place,” she said.

Bengzon said she undergoes Ultherapy sessions twice a year. “I’ve really seen a difference—my skin looks a lot tauter and my jawline is much more defined now.”

Ultherapy is now available in 31 accredited partner clinics around the Philippines, allowing more to discover and embrace their own definition of beauty at every stage in their lives.
