The Senate is getting ready for a possible impeachment trial of Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Senate Secretary Lutgardo Barbo says, the black robes or 'toga' that the senators will wear when they serve as judges in the proceeding are already being sewn.
Some of the veteran lawmakers have advised Barbo that they will just wear the robes they had used during the impeachment trial of Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona.
Copies of the Rules of Court have also been sent to the lawmakers' offices for their study and review.
Barbo says, many of the senators are already familiar with the guidelines since they had seen and observed the past impeachment trials of Corona and Former President Joseph Estrada.
The senate secretary has signed the budget allocation for the possible event.
He adds, the Senate security personnel are also getting ready for a trial.
