Sisters and co-owners of The Sexy Chef, singer Rachel Alejandro and Chef Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck, divulge secret and personalized recipes in the 21 Days to a Sexier You, a cookbook and weight loss manual from ABS-CBN Publishing.

Describing food as one of life’s greatest pleasures, the sisters encourage readers seeking to get fit to harness a force much powerful than self-discipline—desire. Rachel says, “It’s all about desire. What is another word for desire? Love. As they say, love your body and it will love you back.”

The Sexy Chef has been Manila’s top health food delivery service since 2004, but now the determined sisters venture into the publishing world as they offer sound advice based on their own personal experience on keeping fit, as well as from what they have learned from experts in fitness and weight loss science.

This new healthy lifestyle book offers top tips for slimming down, facts about hydration, and even holds the answer to ‘stress.’ Also, it features a seven-day sample menu, post-pregnancy advice, and inspiring experiences of the authors. Believe it or not, the fitness cookbook even pushes readers to chow on rice.

Recipes include cilantro-lime shrimp stuffed avocado, beef and lentil stew, stir-fry beef with basil, quinoa and lentil tabbouleh, and even desserts such as cranberry amazeballs, chocolate banana overnight oats, and dairy-free mango sago. Each recipe also indicates how many calories are in for intake.
