Love is a rescued dog (2)

More and more  people are  deciding to adopt, instead of buying dogs and cats.

All dogs are loving, loyal, and easy to please.  All dogs are  also easy to take care of as long  as owners are responsible.

All owners have to do is provide  clean food and clean water, bathe the dog once a week,  provide a clean space for the dog, have the dog vaccinated  against illnesses and rabies.

In return, dogs bring  color to one’s life,  wonderful experiences and  valuable lessons  to each member of the family.

Hollie Dabon, adopter of  rescued pups  Royce, Caramel, Kisses and Crème,  says  these rescues continue to bring  joy to her life.

Here is her story in her own words:

Hollie Dabon and pups Crème, Kisses, Caramel, and Royce

My partner and I have been living together for several years with our Pooper, a 12-year-old mini pin, and BJ, a 4-year-old shih tzu.

At first, we fostered the four puppies  rescued by an animal welfare group, Save Animals of Love and Light (Save ALL). They became instant members of the family.

We felt we could add more members to our home, so last April 12, my partner and I decided to adopt two of the  puppies: Crème and Kisses.

When we were  to  bring Caramel  and Royce to the Save ALL  care home, Royce held on to my partner’s leg like a baby and wouldn’t let go. We both cried then and decided  to adopt  Royce and Caramel too.

At first, we thought we were making a huge difference in their lives. Little did we know  that they were doing the same to us.

Since we adopted the pups, our home became happier, with four pups running around the house and always asking for cuddles and attention.   Even with our busy schedules requiring us to stay in the office for long hours, we are always eager to come home to our furbabies who are excited to greet us. Their enthusiasm and presence boost our moods and our energies

Adopting four puppies taught us to be more patient. Each dog has their own unique characteristics and personalities that allowed us learn to adjust and to understand everyone’s specific needs.

Our lifestyle changed since having four extra puppies demanded more time at home to feed them, clean them and just take care of them. Our work-life schedule changed but because of this, we also had the pleasure of spending more time at home. Life may bring different situations to your daily routine, but it is still possible to make things work by taking time to adapt and make better choices.

Since we adopted the puppies, more blessings came to our family and home. We thought adopting the puppies would mean saving their lives, but it’s the other way around. Every day, they give us unconditional love, loyalty, and friendship that you can feel even without using words. Crème, Kisses, Caramel, and Royce make us feel more our sense of purpose and fulfillment in life, which adds to our happiness every day.
