We will even double our effort to maintain peace and order as we also aim for zero-indiscriminate firing, this is a no-no for our personnel, anyone who violates will be dealt with accordingly,” said Albayalde.

The policemen who will caught firing their firearms during New Year revelry will face dismissal from the service.

Albayalde urged the public to celebrate the New Year peacefully and safely as possible.

The National Capital Region Police Office said it is working with local government units and other partner government agencies in connection with designated areas where fireworks are allowed.

“Police personnel will be deployed in different areas of convergence and vital installations as immediate responders and monitoring as well as to strengthen police visibility,” said Albayalde.

He assured that Team-NCRPO will not rest to ensure the safety and security of everyone.

Albayalde also expressed gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation on the  campaign against firecrackers that aims for zero fire cracker incidents this yuletide celebration.

He further solicits the cooperation of the public especially the parents to look after their children to keep them safer.

“Let us make sure no child will lose a finger. This season is supposed to be for them to enjoy,” said Albayalde.

He encouraged the public to immediately call for police assistance when needed and reiterated the use of the government emergency Hotline 911.

Authorities also reminded barangay officials and other community leaders of a government policy for them to designate common fireworks display zones in their localities to prevent or lessen fireworks-related injuries this holiday.
