End the year with a bang as ZARA Kids delivers fresh new collections for the Fall-Winter season. The new pieces for boys and girls circulate around trends and materials that are both fashionable and are wardrobe essentials, giving us sartorial solutions to dressing the little ones for the holidays.

Feminine pieces and 90s inspired outfits for kids comprise Zara Kids’s fall/winter 2017 collection

The Niña or girls’ selection is the perfect way to plunge into Fall with pieces that are feminine and playful. In line with a handful of key looks from the women’s collection, the trends have pieces curated to balance style with wearability and comfort. Another would be a spectrum of romance and Orientalia – themes brought to life with an abundance of frills, florals and a cozy palette. From neutrals like tan and camel to braver choices like fuchsia and maroon, the season’s colors deliver a sense of all-out warmth. Meanwhile, streetwear wields its influence as well, with casual London-inspired dressing being translated into statement tops, knits and contrasting fabrics. Black and gray, indispensable hues for fall dressing are present in these looks, along with splashes of purple and green. Glen check patterns, houndstooth prints and thicker fabrics like fool and faux sheepskin tannery are also among the staples that tie the collection together.

The Niño or boys’ looks are just as exciting, with grunge themes and oversized fits taking the lead. Taking inspiration from 90’s rock music, the looks channel a sense of freedom and fun through graffiti-inspired prints, edgy washes and rips. Blacks and grays remain a highlight, with unexpected pops of yellow and white for contrast. Khaki and cobalt blue are also key colors for the trend-conscious collection. Key pieces are ones that balance form and function, like lined outerwear and a multi-pocketed bomber jacket rendered in soft materials.

For a little extra quirk, both the boys’ and girls’ selections take inspiration from the stars and celestial bodies. From constellations and astronauts to a color palette reminiscent of the night sky, a combination of different techniques and finishes like foil, vinyl and glitter come together for looks that are quite stellar.

In the Philippines, Zara Kids is exclusively distributed by International Specialty Concepts, Inc., a member of SSI Group, Inc., with stores at Ayala Center Cebu, Glorietta, SM Mega Fashion Hall, Power Plant Mall, and Shangri-la Plaza.
