Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, brother of General Trias City Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer, and Team GenTri recently played Santa Claus to persons with disabilities in the city at the General Trias Cultural and Convention Center in Barangay Sampalukan here.
The lawmaker was accompanied by his wife Monette and local social welfare head Bengky Generoso. in distributing gift packs, bags, and cash to 388 PWDs who attended the program.
Team GenTri has done this for five years now, Rep. Ferrer said.
Meanwhile, The JCI-General Trias Katipunan, in partnership with the GenTri local government, adopted 50 indigent young GenTriseños by granting their respective Christmas wishes during the “Pick the Name, Bless the Child Project” held at the town plaza.
In the neighboring town of Noveleta, Mayor Dino Reyes Chua led the distribution of gifts to kids of the locality starting Dec. 16, as part of his “Pamaskong Handog” for young Noveletans.
