Police are investigating the series of roadside explosions that took place in different areas in Upi, Maguindanao.
The first blast took place at the detachment of the First Maneuver Platoon of Maguindanao Public Safety Company at 11:30 pm Friday.
A policeman was wounded in the incident.
The second blast occured near a bridge in Barangay Nuro shortly after the first incident.
Then at 1:10 am Saturday, another explosion happened near the Marine Batallion Headquarters.
The third blast injured 7 Marines.
The victims were identified as Major Romulo Ducay, Corporals Ryan Cabual, Arnel Jiun, Oliver Albo and Alvin Sangadan, Private First Class (PFC) Johnny Panday and PFC Gerwin Perez.
The soldiers are members of the 5th Marine Battalion based in Barangay Mirab, North Upi.
They were brought to Camp Siongo in Datu Odin Sinsuat town.
Maguindanao Police Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Agustin Tello said they have yet to determine the identities of the perpetrators.
