Heart Evangelista and Christian Louboutin

For a lot of shoe buff and collectors, the name Christian Louboutin is mentioned with both awe and reverence. To wear a Louboutin, for most Filipinos, is like wearing a badge of honor, after all, it’s a brand among the most expensive in the world.

Recently, our own Heart Evangelista not only wore a pair of Louboutin, she also danced in it with the designer himself at the Philippine Tattler Ball.

If that’s not being in what we call alta sociedad, then I don’t know what to call it. The two were spotted at the ball like they were having a ball, so to speak.

No, Heart’s dear hubby, the senator (Chiz Escudero) wasn’t around to see his wife charming the French coutourier.

Apart from Louboutin, Heart is also a friend of one of Hermes executives who never fails to invite her to Hermes events in Paris. That’s not all, she has recently been signed by Carolina Herrera to be the Philippine brand ambassador of the Venezuelan-born American fashion designer whose store was recently opened at Greenbelt 5.

Heart in a recent interview said, “I feel na, well I’m gonna do something, I have to go back to Paris, once. I have a few meetings and to attend certain events.”

She is leaving anytime this month or January. “The last time I was there, katabi ko was the President of the Couture Federation. So, ‘di ko siya ano, kasi wala naman akong kilala and then,’Hi I’m..’ ganyan. It’s so overwhelming. Minsan nga, naiiyak ako eh. Kasi you only see it in the magazines. And some of the gowns there are outrageously expensive that you cannot buy, it’s impossible to buy. But you can touch it, you can go to the showrooms after and you get to meet the designers. You get to be friends with certain people.”

Heart added, “Actually, the last time I was there, I was invited to a show. It’s the couture line of Dolce and Gabbana and they invited me to their show. And they were so nice, and then naging kaibigan ko ‘yung isang guy dun na head, and he’s like, ‘come with me.’ Gumanon siya. ‘Tas sabi ko, ‘Why?’ He made me try on, I think it was like, more than three million na gown. Couture.”

So, guys, that’s Heart for you…

Wish Ko Lang with Vicky Morales is celebrating its 15th year this month.

For its initial anniversary episode last Saturday, Wish Ko Lang! featured the touching story of Rolly (Carlos Agassi). What seemed to be a happy gathering turned out to be the start of Rolly’s nightmare. Rolly and his father-in-law were then drinking with some friends. But things got heated and Rolly, who was then trying to stop the fight, accidentally stabbed his father in law.

Rolly tried to ask for his wife’s forgiveness but she still sued him and Rolly was sent to jail. His children were also prohibited to visit him. Despite this, Rolly did his best to keep his record clean in order to secure an early release. An unfortunate surprise, however, was waiting for him upon his release from prison: his wife is now with another man while his children are nowhere to be found.

Joining Carlos in the episode were Lovely Abella, Kristoffer King, and Lharby Policarpio. Wish Ko Lang! airs every Saturday afternoon, after Tadhana, on GMA 7.
