Defensive big man Steven Adams of the Oklahoma Thunder has a penchant for staying calm even under extreme pressure while former Sacramento Kings head coach Reggie Theus electrified the crowd with his energy throughout his journey in the NBA.

These Alaska NBA Fit Ambassadors recently visited the country to share their insights during the highlight of the NBA’s comprehensive health and wellness platform at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.

NBA Fit encourages the NBA family to “Be Active, Eat Healthy and Play Together’’ while promoting the values of the game, something that the seven-foot Adams and Theus have embodied in their careers as player and coach, respectively.

With Alaska Milk Corporation as reliable partner in the Philippines, NBA Fit Week encourages the importance of health, wellness and active lifestyle across different countries.

Aside for the Alaska NBA Fit Activation, the league also held NBA Cares Event and Jr. NBA Clinic at the College of Engineering, PUP Sta. Mesa campus.

NBA has renovated and improved the Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ basketball gym as part of its NBA Cares program.

The Jr. NBA Clinic took place with 50 children from the PUP neighborhood participating in the beginners clinic and as well as an elite training session for the Jr. NBA Alumni.

The back-to-back clinics were facilitated by Jeffrey Cariaso and PowerCamp coaches with some Alaska Aces as guests.

Drafted 12th overall by the Thunder in 2013, Adams hails from New Zealand and completes the other half of the charismatic OKC Stache Brothers with Enes Kanter.

The famed Laker Girls, an all-female NBA Cheerleading squad that performs and supports the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team in home matches, are also ambassadors of NBA Fit.
