There is a need for “well-educated” young Filipinos in the country, European Union Ambassador Franz Jessen said as he invited all teenagers to consider studying in Europe to obtain knowledge and eventually help contribute to the Philippine economy.

In his speech during the European Higher Education Fair 2017 this week, Jessen said pursuing further studies in Europe would allow an individual to open himself or herself a new perspective in life.

“Studying in Europe allows one to get a different perspective, which can be incredibly useful especially for the youth,” Jessen said.

“You have a great need for well-educated, young Filipinos here. They can use the knowledge that they have obtained [in Europe] to develop your [the Philippines’] own economy,” he added.
