BALANGA CITY, Bataan—The Provincial Board headed by Vice Governor Cris Garcia has authorized Governor Abet Garcia to sign an agreement with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples to fund and issue a certificate of ancestral domain title for the Aeta communities in the province.
“All the members of the provincial board are supportive of Aetas in the province,” the vice governor said.
Board Member Danilo Salonga, representative of the Aetas, said the NCIP has submitted a proposed budget of P5.96 million for the delineation and titling of the remaining ancestral lands and domains in Bataan.
NCIP has committed to undertake the project, from social preparation up to registration and awarding of the corresponding Certificates of Ancestral Domain Titles in accordance to the approved work and financial plan.
