The Thomasian “Group of Six” will mount an Art Show at the Philippine Heart Center’s The Art Gallery, with opening ceremonies on Oct. 2 starting at 4 p.m.
Featuring a collection of paintings from the University of Santo Tomas’ Fine Arts Alumni, this exhibit showcases the ingenuity of the country’s local talents who have also made a mark internationally.
Featured are painters Domingo A. Alconaba, former lecturer at the UST College of Fine Arts; Pablo I. Javier, Japanese Ministry of Education Scholar with postgraduate studies in painting at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Academy; Editha L. Mata-Guerrero, former college faculty member of Manuel L. Quezon University and Centro Escolar University; Leon Pacunayen, former faculty member of UST College of Fine Arts and Colegio de San Juan de Letran; the late Renato A. Quiroz, former faculty member of Philippine Women’s University Institute of Fine Arts and Design; and Mario Santiago, former faculty member and chairman of UST College of Fine Arts-Painting Department.
The exhibit will be at the Ground Floor Lobby of the Philippine Heart Center from Oct. 2 to 21.
