Restaurant chain operator Max’s Group Inc. said Tuesday it will open a Max’s Restaurant in Tukwila, Washington by 2018.
Max’s Group said in a disclosure to the stock exchange it teamed up with JS Restaurant Llc. to build a fried chicken restaurant in Washington, which is a new area for the company’s expansion in the United States.
“This is another exciting moment for us to provide our countrymen based in the United States a genuine taste of home. We are grateful to be in partnership with JS Restaurant LLC to serve our best-in-class products to the community of Tukwila,” said Max’s Group president and chief executive Robert Trota.
The new deal is the sixth development agreement secured by Max’s Group this year.
“We are witnessing the fastest rate of expansion in North America. For this year alone, we opened three new Max’s Restaurant’s across New Jersey, Calgary and San Diego. Moreover, we have another two stores in the pipeline for 2018 to be located in Winnipeg and Tukwila,” Max’s Group chief executive for international operations Peter King said.
JS Restaurant is a private company engaged in specialized medical services. Its principals have been residents of Tukwila for close to two decades. JS Restaurant has successfully forged business networks and alliances which will anchor its initial foray into restaurant operations.

Max’s Restaurant currently operates 175 stores, including 27 franchised branches overseas.
The restaurant chain announced last week that it would open the first Max’s Restaurant in Winnipeg, Canada by 2018.
The store in Canada will be in partnership with Alibin Group, a privately held Canadian company, comprised of family shareholders and operators.
Max’s Group aims to have at least 200 international stores by 2020.
Aside from Max’s Restraurant, other brands under Max’s Group that have opened outside the Philippines are Yellow Cab, Sizzlin’ Plate and Pancake House.
