The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration warned Filipino nurses who want to work in Germany from applying to a recruitment agency identified as ‘Meine Agentur 24’ which recruits nurses and other healthcare professionals for supposed jobs in Germany without the proper authorization from the government.
“Meine Agentur 24, in its website and Facebook page, lists its address in Leipzig, Germany but the Philippine Embassy in Berlin reported that the name of Meine Agentur 24 does not appear in the online registry of businesses in that country,” the POEA said.
The POEA also said that it has no record of Meine Agentur 24 in its database of accredited foreign employers.
“In the website and Facebook page, Meine Agentur 24 advertises the need for workers in various disciplines in the field of nursing and other healthcare jobs and its offer of a qualification course for nursing staff to prepare them for employment in Germany,” the POEA said.
