A TALENTED forward from La Salle Greenhills will suit up for powerhouse Ateneo Blue Eagles in season 90 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament.

Team manager Epok Quimpo said the 6’3” Mallilin has made the cut with the Blue Eagles after he transferred from the La Salle Green Archers last summer.

“He’s in the lineup,” said Quimpo.

Mallilin is among the new faces with the Blue Eagles, following the graduation of Giboy Babilonia.

He joins Batang Gilas players Gian Mamuyac and BJ Andrade, who played for the Ateneo Blue Eaglets in high school.

Mallilin distinguished himself last year when he earned the  juniors MVP honors of the season 92 NCAA basketball tournament.

He moved over after playing a few games with La Salle in their  preseason sorties.

The Tab Baldwin-coached Blue Eagles will have the likes of Thirdy Ravena back in the team, along with Adrian Wong, Anton Asistio, Vince Tolentino, Mike Nieto, Aaron Black, Jolo Mendoza, and Isaac Go.

They will also have Matt Nieto, Kris Porter, Tyler Tio, Chibueze Ikeh, Rafael Verano, Dan Wong and Jawuan White, who is coming in from team B.

Mallillin averaged 19.9 points and 9.3 rebounds when he was still with LSGH.
