TUGUEGARAO CITY—The chief of the Cagayan Valley Research Center of the Department of Agriculture was chosen by the Civil Service Commission as semi-finalist in the “Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award.”
Rose Mary Gazzingan-Aquino, who holds the rank Agricultural Center Chief III, was awarded a Certificate of Recognition and a cash reward of P20,000 by lawyer Neil S. Agustin, director IV of the CSC, during the flag raising at the compound of the DA’s Regional Field Office 2 in Tuguegarao City.
After conducting regional level searches, CSC will now proceed to the search for outstanding public officials and employees at the national level.
“The award aimed to inspire more employees to strive for excellence and be the ‘Lingkod Bayanis’ [civil servant heroes] that the community envisions all government workers to be,” Agustin said.
“With much pride in your success and your future triumphs in the line of service excellence. Congratulations!” said a statement published on DA-RFO 2’s social media account for Aquino.
