Open to all automotive and lifestyle journalists in the country, the 17th Henry Ford Awards is now accepting nominations for 16 categories. Three new categories for the year introduced: Automotive Print Lifestyle Feature, Automotive Online Lifestyle Feature, and Automotive Industry Feature.
17th Henry Ford Awards (HFA), the only award-giving body in the country that recognizes the contribution of journalists in driving the growth of the automotive industry through excellent, extensive, and incisive reportage, continues to celebrate the roles of journalists in helping shape the ever-changing automotive industry as well as acknowledge excellence and professionalism in journalism in the online, print and broadcast media.
“The Henry Ford Awards is set in place to recognize the passion and dedication of media practitioners in continuously upping the ante of automotive journalism year after year. With the HFA, we want to extend our gratitude to them for their exemplary work and the impact it created on the Philippine automotive industry in general,” said EJ Francisco, AVP for Communications, Ford Philippines.
This 2017, Ford is adding three new categories to the awards this year: Automotive Industry Feature, a story that showcases latest industry trends and issues affecting the Philippine automotive industry; Automotive Print Lifestyle Feature, a non-Ford exclusive feature story on print media that focuses on the relevance of a vehicle in today’s lifestyle; and Automotive Online Lifestyle Feature, a non-Ford exclusive feature story on online media that focuses on the relevance of a vehicle in today’s lifestyle.

The winners under the Regular Categories will receive a cash prize of P25,000.00 with a trophy. A cash prize of P35,000 with a trophy will be awarded to the winners of the Special Categories. The winners will be announced and recognized during the awards night on January 23, 2018, Tuesday.
Entries may be nominated by editors, publishers, TV producers and fellow or participating journalists. In addition, participants now have the option to submit entries via hard copies or online to the Henry Ford Awards Secretariat. All entries must be published/posted/aired from October 1, 2016 to September 22, 2017.
