Two impeachment complaints are set to be filed against Supreme Court Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno on Wednesday.

Lawyer Lorenzo Gadon is set to submit the impeachment case in the House of Representatives at around 1 to 2 pm today.

He says, the group Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) is also set to file its own similar case against the chief justice.

Gadon's documents are 54 pages while VACC's charge sheet consists of 12 pages.

In his complaint, Gadon accuses Sereno of having committed culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust.

He alleges that Sereno is supposedly extravagant.

He cites as alleged proof the purchase of a luxury vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser, worth P 5.1 million.

He says, another 3 to 4 million pesos will be spent for bullet-proofing the unit.

Gadon says, the purchase is unnecessary as Sereno had supposedly been issued two other high-end vehicles – a Hyundai Starex and a Toyota Camry.

He also alleges that the chief justice travels and takes flights in business class.

He also claims Sereno would spend excessively when attending meetings in vacation resorts.

An amount of P 150,000 per night was allegedly spent when Sereno once stayed in a presidential suite in Boracay.

Gadon made these accusations in an interview on Wednesday morning.

The lawyer claims, his impeachment complaint will be endorsed by some members of the House of Representatives.

He is not disclosing the names of these lawmakers at this time.
