ITCZ prompts cancellation of some domestic flights

Bad weather has affected some domestic flights on Thursday.

These are CebGo flights from Manila to Naga (DG 6117) and Naga to Manila (DG 6118).

Also cancelled are CebGo flights from Manila to Busuanga in Palawan and Busuanga to Manila (DG 6042).

The information came from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

Weather bureau PAGASA says, an  intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is prevailing over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Aurora, Bataan and Zambales.

A shallow low pressure area (LPA) is also bringing rains in the West Philippine Sea.

Cloudy weather is expected to last until Saturday.
