MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. Former President Fidel V. Ramos   (seated, center) does the thumbs-up sign with Nebu Alejandrino (Defense  Secretary Delfin Lorenzana’s Chief of Staff), Gen. Mitch Templo, veteran newsman Ben Cal, FVR family biographer Melandrew Velasco and RPDEV staff following a surprise visit at the National  Defense building at Camp Aguinaldo yesterday to do an ocular of the building’s social hall, venue of the ‘Make Things Happen’ book launch on Monday, July 17, 2017 (Monday),  4:00 p.m. at the DND Social Hall, DND Building, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. As with earlier volumes in this series, Volume XII will be launched in time for the next State of the Nation Address, the second one by President Rodrigo R. Duterte, scheduled  on  July 24, 2017  in  a Joint Session of Congress at the Batasang Pambansa.

As with earlier volumes in this series, Volume XII will be launched in time for the next State of the Nation Address, the second one by President Rodrigo R. Duterte, scheduled  on  July 24, 2017  at a Joint Session of Congress at the Batasang Pambansa.

As the title “Make Change Work!” suggests, this book aims to serve as a reference to the Filipino people and our leaders in achieving and effecting genuine change. Reflecting on our histories as a nation, it seems that the triumphs we have achieved are almost always equally offset by setbacks, constantly slowing the progress we make as a people.

Given the recent events happening around the word such as the terrorist attacks in Marawi, Kabul, Paris, and London, the worsening effects of the climate change, and the increasing interconnectedness of the world, it is only apt that we as Filipinos start rethinking on our role as citizens of this planet we call Earth, and how we could be able to contribute to the positive change our world currently needs, FVR said.

Government officials, sectoral representatives, educators, journalists, veterans and other concerned Filipinos are  invited to join the  book launch  at Camp Aguinaldo.
