More Filipinos are watching shows on ABS-CBN, particularly in June.

This is based on data from Kantar Media, which showed that ten out of the most watched programs nationwide were produced by ABS-CBN, as the network garnered an average audience share of 46 percent among rural and urban homes versus GMA’s 34 percent.

Leading the list was the Coco Martin starrer FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, which posted an average national TV rating of 35.5 percent. Viewers continued to follow the life of Cardo (Coco) as the program entered its new chapter, which marks Cardo’s journey to seek justice for the death of his son Ricky Boy.

Securing the second spot was the network’s newest primetime series La Luna Sangre with its first two weeks posting an average national TV rating of 34.1 percent. Apart from Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s comeback on television, viewers also tuned in to Richard Gutierrez’s debut as a Kapamilya, the special participation of Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz, and the charming child stars of the series.

Also bringing excitement to viewers were the much-talked about battle rounds of The Voice Teens (33.9 percent). MMK (33.3 percent), meanwhile, continued to touch the hearts of viewers with its letter senders’ inspiring stories.

TV Patrol, on the other hand, remained as the most watched news program in the country with average national TV rating of 30.3 percent, beating rival program 24 Oras (20.2 percent).

Bringing lessons about love and family to young audiences every Sunday was Wansapanataym with 29.5 percent. Another values-laden series My Dear Heart (27.5 percent) also touched the heart of viewers with its heart-rending finale, which showed how love can change people for the better and sacrifice for their loved ones.

The thrilling revelations in Wildflower also hooked viewers as it remained unbeatable in its timeslot with a national TV rating of 23.1 percent.

Also included in the top 10 shows are John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga’s sitcom Home Sweetie Home (21 percent) that reflects Filipino families’ strength through ups and downs, kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit (20.5 percent), and current affairs program Rated K (20.5 percent) led by Korina Sanchez.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s primetime block (6 p.m.-12 mn) also hit an average audience share of 50 percent, beating GMA’s 32 percent by 18 points.
