Dexter Carlos has been placed under the Witness Protection Program (WPP) of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre says, the DOJ offered the program to Carlos and he readily accepted it.
Dexter is the husband of Estrella, who was raped and killed in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on June 27, 2017.
The second victim, Aurora Dizon, who was also raped and killed, was Dexter’s mother in law.
Dexter also lost his three children to the massacre.
Aguirre says, Dexter has gone through the application process, including an interview.
Dexter will receive benefits as a result.
Aguirre notes, there is no direct threat to Dexter’s life as of now, but as the investigation on the massacre goes on, his life can be in danger.
