The Philippine National Police (PNP) has found two kilos of shabu from the home of Former Marawi Mayor Omar Solitario Ali in Marawi City.
The illegal drugs were discovered during the clearing operation of the police in Barangay Bangon on Friday morning.
Ali is reportedly a sympathizer of the Maute group.
The police say, the fact that large volumes of drugs are discovered in areas that the Maute group used as hideouts bolsters the suspicion that the terrorists may be high on drugs as they fight the military.
Eleven kilos of shabu were previously confiscated by the PNP in another clearing operation.
